Today's gift

I have a hard working yard guy...Mike...you would be so lucky to have him...he's the one guy i can count on to bring in the trash cans for me...he keeps the lawn on this almost acre lot manicured...if it were up to me I would let it go to trees and weeds because i am terribly allergic to grass...and i like trees alot...HOWEVER the neighbors would have a nervous breakdown...

Today hes out there in the cold and the rain cleaning up the leaves from the 58 hardwoods in the front yard "woods"...did i say i counted them one day? He's out there in his slicker and rain pants...working away...so Mike was the obvious person to get the gift of the day!

OK...fun story for yesterday...sent my nieces dancing tree off to them...and i boxed it in a $10 priority mail box accidently not realizing the USPS had cheaper boxes ...the nice post office lady at the counter pointed out my error and upsized me to a cheaper one...she did the taping with the honery tape dispenser...that stuff sticks to everything but the box...she was a pro at taping!

so it only cost $5 to mail..and dont you know the twins are going to love opening TWO boxes...the old one is inside the other...ps if you need one of these trees for someone special...they have plenty at walgreens..OH and you can turn them off as easily as you can turn them on...

Twenty five days to Christmas

I was sitting here trying not to feel sorry for myself and the thought flew into my brain that I could give a present a day for the next 25 days. I have lots of stuff that someone else would like ...it doesnt have to be NEW but it could be....and then I thought if all my internet friends did the same thing ...we might start a revolution.

SO I am challenging you all to join me in this project. Some days it won't be easy...like tomorrow when I have to hang a show BUT I do think it could be done. Just think how much better the world will be if we all make a concerted effort to give a present a day for the next twenty five days.

I read this one on the Karma project on FB that I liked. If you see some homeless people panhandling, go to a fast food place and buy them a lunch at the drive through. It will brighten their day and it will brighten yours!!

So let me know what you are doing....my first one is going in a box to my nieces today. They will LOVE it! A singing Christmas tree!!! WOOT:>
